About the exhibition
Høysalen (The high hall) will regularly house new works from the collection and function as a kind of project space, with complicated installations from the collection that mainly highlight female artists in the collection from Sápmi/Northern Norway.

Our Arctic Archive shows works by the artist duo Ramona Salo Myrseth and Katarina Skår Lisa. The works were created during a stay in Svalbard in 2021, with artistic research through dialog with people, movement in nature and documentation of the landscape. These Arctic experiences were archived through linocut prints on textile and paper, video and photography. Ramona Salo Myrseth and Katarina Skår Lisa collaborated with Longyearbyen-based filmmaker Tom Warner to document the work, and Sámi musician and joik Lávre Johan Eira composed the exhibition's soundtrack. The works were first shown at Nordover on Svalbard. Read more about Our Arctic Archive in Nordover.
