What's happening

Visit our exhibitions. We offer guided tours, art workshops, talks, lectures, special tours and other events. Regular guided tours are included in the entrance fee. 

At our Tromsø location, we have a unique SKAPE Workshop that is available during opening hours. Visitors are welcome to use a range of materials and equipment for creative expression. Use of the workshop is free of charge.  

At our Bodø location, we have a presentation and event space called Festsalen. This space will host activities such as lectures, artist talks, film screenings and other workshop activities. Festsalen is also available for private events. Please contact … for further details.

Folkeskikk/Good Manners: Five Popular Movements – A Fight

The term “folkeskikk”, which roughly translates to “good manners”, is often associated with social conventions: saying thank you at mealtimes, listening, showing consideration for others. In Jannik Abel’s practice, the term takes on a new meaning. Here “manners” is about an ethical responsibility, about responding to injustice with presence, care and action.

The national jury for the Annual Exhibition 2026 has completed its final round of selection. Out of a total of 1,163 submitted works, 57 works by 52 artists have been selected for the exhibition. This year’s selection represents the breadth of the Norwegian contemporary craft field and reflects some of the most pressing themes of our time.
