Welcome to a guided tour! One of our museum guide will take you on a journey through the rich artistic legacy of the Nordland-born painter Eilert Adelsteen Normann (1848–1918). Normann was one of the first professional artists from Northern Norway and played a key role in bringing the landscapes of Norway to a European audience.

Join us for a sensory and creative drawing and poetry workshop inside the exhibition “The sea rocks, the sky whispers” by Synnøve Persen. Here, we draw direct inspiration from the artworks and explore how colors, lines, and words can express moods, nature, and inner landscapes.
Creative workshop: We make pictures out of tissue paper

Join us and make your own picture out of tissue paper based on the landscapes in Adelsteen Normann's paintings. In this workshop, we will take a closer look at the paintings in the exhibition before simplifying the motifs so that they can be cut out of cardboard and the surfaces filled with tissue paper. You can draw freehand or use copies of the paintings as a starting point.
