About the event
Every Thursday through March, the museum will be open until 8 PM. This Thursday, we’re offering two guided tours of the exhibition, as well as an open creative workshop in the café. Join a tour—come create, eat, and just be!

11:00 AM–8:00 PM
Café Adelsteen
The café is open all day and serves toast, the best waffles in town, and our homemade tomato soup with bread.

5:00 PM–7:45 PM
Open Workshop
In the café, we set out fun and inspiring materials so everyone can explore their creativity. You are of course welcome to bring your own materials if you wish.

6:00 PM and 7:00 PM (45 min.)
Join a Guided Tour of the Exhibition
Our guide will introduce you to the rich artistic legacy of the Northern Norwegian artist Eilert Adelsteen Normann (1848–1918). He was one of the first professional painters from Northern Norway and played an important role in bringing Norwegian landscapes to a European audience. Included in the admission ticket.

On October 4th, we opened the doors to a grand exhibition that breathes new life into one of Northern Norway’s most significant artists! Adelsteen Normann (1848–1918) was a pioneer of Norwegian landscape painting and a vital bridge between the dramatic nature of Northern Norway and the European art audience.

Lunchtime Concert at the museum – take an art break in your day!

Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum and the Arctic Philharmonic invite you to a free lunchtime concert in the museum’s beautiful venue in Bodø. You’ll hear the Arctic Philharmonic’s wind quintet perform music by August Klughardt.
