The lecture "From bank to art museum"

Get to know Nordnorsk kunstmuseum better!
The lecture is open to everyone with an entrance ticket to the museum on the same day.

In the lecture, we will discuss what is distinctive about the museum's work. What have been the special areas of focus and what do the museum's collections contain today? Then to the establishment in Bodø and what plans the museum has in 2025 - 2026.
The lecture is part of the programme for the opening exhibition: ‘Everything speaks - Stories in motion’, which shows a selection of artworks from the museum's collection from the 19th century to the present day, by artists with northern Norwegian, Sami, Norwegian and international backgrounds.
Kristoffer Dolmen (b. 1973) is project manager for the start-up of the new museum in Bodø for Nordnorsk kunstmuseum, he is responsible for the daily operation of the department, as well as developing and implementing a series of programmes and events in the opening year. Kristoffer Dolmen joined Nordnorsk kunstmuseum in 2025 from the position of senior curator at Nordlandsmuseet (2022-2025), prior to which he was director of the Sami Centre for Contemporary Art in Karasjok (2018-2022).
