The museum departments in Tromsø and Bodø have wheelchair ramps at the main entrances and elevators to all floors.

Disability Support Workers/Caregivers  

Admission is free for Disability Support Workers and caregivers in all of our venues upon presentation of a valid certification.  

Visually Impaired 
Our reception desk is staffed at all times and the signs are designed to be easy to read for everyone. There is also Braille on several signs.  

Guide dogs and service animals are welcome.  

For visually impaired visitors who need extra light, flashlights are available at the reception desk. 

 

Photography 

While photography is permitted in our exhibitions, we kindly request that you turn off the flash.  

Professional production companies, advertising agencies or other photographers who wish to use Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum as a location are asked to contact the Audience and Boutique Manager in advance.

Safety and Security 

Please maintain a safe distance from the artworks while visiting the exhibitions. Parents and guardians are reminded that financial losses caused by children are their responsibility. 

Food and drinks are not permitted in the exhibition spaces.  

Small strollers are permitted in the exhibition areas but we ask that you are mindful of your surroundings and maintain a safe distance from the art.  

Bags smaller than A4 (20x 30cm) may be carried throughout the museum. Larger bags must be stored in the cloakroom. Umbrellas and selfies sticks must also be stored in the cloakroom. The lockers are lockable. 

Outerwear and large jackets should be left in the cloakroom. 

Shoes with snow spikes are not permitted in the museum. 
Please remove them upon entering or bring shoes without snow spikes.
