GUIDED TOURS (IN ENGLISH)

2 :00 PM – Guided tour of “Everything Speaks – Stories in Motion”
The tours last approximately 35 minutes. Participation is included in the admission ticket.
Saturdays at 3:00 PM – Introduction to the Exhibition
Welcome to brief introductions offering insight into the exhibition’s main themes: The Gaze, Food Sovereignty and Food Security, and Fish, Gender, and Sexuality.

Sundays at 3:00 PM – Guided Tour of the Exhibition
Join us for an exciting guided tour of an exhibition where art speaks and stories move. “Everything Speaks – Stories in Motion” is based on works from the museum’s own collection and offers three different perspectives on Northern Norway – from the intimate and personal to the socially engaged and political.
Through the artworks, you’ll experience how stories from the region can be conveyed in new and thought-provoking ways.

LECTURE (IN ENGLISH)
Fridays at 1:00 PM – Introduction to Sámi Art // Lecture
We welcome you to learn more about Sámi art. The opening exhibition “Everything Speaks – Stories in Motion” features works by a number of Sámi artists from our collection. In this lecture, we take a closer look at Sámi art and recent art history, with a focus on artists from different parts of Sápmi.

ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN
A station for creative expression - for families with children
(Free tickets are available at the reception. Does not serve as an entrance ticket to the exhibition.)

Create collages using prints of artworks from our collection.
Tuesday, July 15 – Saturday, July 26
Make paper weavings using prints of artworks from our collection.
Tuesday, July 29 – Saturday, August 9
Create artworks using fuse beads (Nabbiperler). Be inspired by pieces in the exhibition, such as Raisa Porsanger’s work "Including by Showcasing" and the golden frame in the exhibition.
Tuesday, August 12 – Saturday, August 16
Create collages using prints of artworks from our collection.
In addition, we are planning more workshops with museum educators. These are also designed for families with children. Information about these will be posted as separate events on our website.
MUSEUM SHOP AND KAFÈ ADELSTEEN
In the reception area, visitors can find t our museum shop where you can purchase art books, crafts and design products.
Kafé Adelsteen, located on the first floor, is a cozy spot where visitors can take a break and enjoy something delicious to eat and drink. The café offers a selection of hot and cold beverages, as well as light meals and pastries.
