About the event

Vårscenefest 2026 "Old pathways, new horizons" is about performing arts made by and for and with indigenous peoples from various parts of the world, with a special focus on Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland).

The festival program includes several events from there. The large island on the other side of the Atlantic has been a toss-up in world politics for many rounds, and is now back on the move.

How is the performing arts doing?
What are the performing artists in Kalaallit Nunaat up to today and what expressions are on the move?
What role does performing arts play in society and where is it headed?
