The nomadic library of Sámi architecture, initiated in 2018 by the Tromsø-based architect and artist Joar Nango, has now, after several years of travelling around the world, come to Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum where it will stay for the coming years.

The exhibition When the body says Yes, which will be shown from April 30th to October 25th 2026, presents three central video installations by Dutch artist melanie bonajo (they/them), a queer, non-binary artist known for their explorations of the body, intimacy, and social belonging in a technological age.

There are cities where history does not pass, but accumulates—layer upon layer—within land, bodies, and memory. This exhibition unfolds between Gaza and Tromsø, two geographies shaped by different yet resonant forms of colonial legacies.
