About the event
Have you looked down into the glass display cases at some of Adelsteen Normann's sketches? These show how the artist used his pencil to capture his subject in a simple and quick manner.

At the creative workshop, we try out different drawing tools, sketching techniques, and subjects. The workshop is free and drop-in from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Introduction to the exhibition between 1:00 p.m. and 1:15 p.m.

On October 4th, we opened the doors to a grand exhibition that breathes new life into one of Northern Norway’s most significant artists! Adelsteen Normann (1848–1918) was a pioneer of Norwegian landscape painting and a vital bridge between the dramatic nature of Northern Norway and the European art audience.
