About the event
Welcome to a creative workshop at the Northern Norwegian Art Museum in Bodø. Create your patch for the art project “My North” and share your story through embroidery, cutting, collage, or other techniques. Your patch may become part of the large patchwork quilt that has already been started in the project.

The workshop is free and drop‑in.
An educator will be available between 13:00 and 15:00 to offer guidance.
Everyone is welcome to join.

About the project:
“My North” is a collaborative art project where you are invited to contribute your own patch to a larger, collective quilt. This is a quilt where we will reflect the diversity of Northern Norway together—the people, the stories, and the expressions that make our region unique.

Craft has a very special power; it can bring people together, create space for reflection, and strengthen community. Creating something together can deepen our understanding of each other and ourselves. In a time when many experience unrest and distance, it is more important than ever to highlight art and culture as sources of meaning, belonging, and psychosocial well‑being, says Stina Högkvist, Director of the Northern Norwegian Art Museum.

Everything is allowed!
Use the techniques you know—or try something new! Together, we will stitch together a quilt that reflects the diversity of Northern Norway—its people and communities, its nature and its culture.
