Creative Workshop: Give Your Textiles a New Life

Do you have a T-shirt, tote bag, pair of socks, or cap that could use a little more colour, or perhaps just a personal touch?

On August 30, we invite children, young people, and adults to a creative Sunday workshop. Bring along a textile item you’d like to make unique and let your imagination run wild. We’ll provide fabric markers and fabric chalk, so you can draw, decorate, and play with colour.

The workshop takes place from 1:00–3:00 PM. No registration is required, and you can come and go as you please during the workshop hours, as long as there is space available.

The colours work best on light-coloured fabrics. If you use the fabric markers, the colour needs to dry for approximately 6 hours before it can be fixed. You can do this at home: Once the colour is dry, place baking paper over and under the fabric and iron over it. This will help the colours stay vibrant when washing at temperatures of up to 40°C.
