About the event

With guidance, you can explore different types of stitches – from simple basic techniques to more decorative expressions. Feel free to bring your own projects if you already have a piece of work in progress.

Running stitch – Cross stitch – Outline stitch – Backstitch – Satin stitch – Chain stitch

The workshop takes place in the museum café from 13:00–15:00, is free of charge, and is suitable for young people and adults. No prior experience is required, but some basic handcraft skills are an advantage. Equipment and materials are available throughout the day, from 11:00–17:00, and you are welcome to try embroidery on your own both before and after the workshop.

Café Adelsteen
We serve freshly brewed coffee, cold drinks, ice cream, our popular crispy waffles straight from the waffle iron, and warm toast.

Please note: This Sunday, we are hosting several activities at the museum as it is the final day of the exhibition Historjá by Britta Marakatt-Labba at Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum in Bodø. Please see the separate event for more information.

We also offer guided tours of the exhibitions in English every Saturday from 13:30–14:15 and every Sunday from 12:00–12:45.
