About the event
Have you seen Britta Marakatt-Labba’s embroidered work Historiaa? Have you noticed how the artist, using simple stitches, embroiders a grand and complex narrative?
The workshop begins with an introduction to Historiaa, and we will draw inspiration from Marakatt-Labba’s way of working with needle and thread.
Welcome to the Thursday workshop at the Northern Norwegian Art Museum.
In the museum café you will find all the equipment and materials you need to embroider your own small stories. You can choose to embroider freely, “draw” with needle and thread, or try different types of stitches with guidance. Feel free to bring your own projects if you already have something you are working on.
The workshop takes place from 17:00 to 19:30, is free of charge, and is suitable for young people and adults. No prior experience is required.
Take a break from everyday life, slow down, and experience the joy of creating in a pleasant setting.
