About the event
Come and experience the exhibition “Historjá” – and let yourself be inspired to embroider. We begin the workshop with a brief introduction to the exhibition, before moving together to the museum café. There, all necessary tools and materials will be provided.
With guidance, you will have the opportunity to try various embroidery stitches – from simple basic techniques to more decorative expressions. If you already have a project you are working on, you are very welcome to bring it along.
Stitches you can get to know:
Running stitch, cross stitch, outline stitch, backstitch, satin stitch, and chain stitch.
The workshop starts at 1:00 PM, is free of charge, and is suitable for young people and adults. No prior experience is required, but some manual dexterity is an advantage.
