After a major transformation of the venerable Sparebank building from 1949 at Storgata 40, the Nordnorsk Art Museum can finally open its doors to the public. Right in the heart of the city, we will create an inclusive art museum and contribute to increasing the accessibility of both historical and contemporary art. Now the Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum is finally clearly present with its own arena in Bodø in addition to Tromsø and Longyearbyen.

Everything is Speaking – Stories in Motion

Nordnorsk Kuntmuseum welcomes you to the new museum department in Bodø/Bådåddjo with the exhibition “Everything is Speaking – Stories in Motion”. The exhibition shows a selection of artworks from the museum’s collection from the 19th century to the present day, by artists with northern Norwegian, Sámi, Norwegian and international backgrounds.
